What comes out of you proves whether you're spiritual or not. It proves if you're natural. What comes out of your heart. The Bible says a good man brings good things out of their heart. A bad person also brings bad things out of their heart. Notice Jesus did not say a spiritual man. But a spiritual man brings out life-giving words.
There is good people who say good things. They are not negative, but they are still not spiritual.
Saying good things is good, but it doesn't make you spiritual until your words can give life. When you speak to somebody, are they revived to chase after God? Are they revived to chase after their dreams? Does it wipe their tears that they that they desire now they they are revived new life enters them. A motivational person can say things that motivates the flesh, but when hardship comes, it falls apart.
Saying good things is good. You should say good things. Should talk about good things. Because that means you are pure. But good things don't make you spiritual. So you need to ask yourself, when I speak, are my words life-giving or are they natural? Because if they are natural, they remain in unfruitful conversations.
Whereby what you say doesn't change anything, doesn't build anyone, doesn't bring anyone close to God. Life-giving words. The Lord Jesus says, "The words that I speak to you, they are what? Spirit, and they are life." What words are coming out of you? Natural words or spiritual words? That tells you if there's a part of your life is natural or carnal.
If you're cursing like a sailor, sorry. You're definitely carnal. If you speak good words, you are natural. But if you speak spiritual words, then you're spiritual.
