to teach you a very simple lesson and this is the fundamentals of the prophetic and the prophetic Ministry now one of the issues I have found when people attempt to teach the prophetic they always teach it from a place of um assumption but many of them don't work in the realm whereby they hear the voice of God I am 36 years old and I've been hearing God since I was six so for 30 years I have walked in the realm of hearing the voice of God I have made mistakes I have missed it sometimes but by God's grace God has perfected this gifting Within Me and this is something that every child of the Living God who has given his life to the Lord Jesus also has within them one of the most profound errors I have found in the prophetic is that men and women of God are teaching that you need to do things to earn the voice of God they will teach you if you live like this you won't hear God if you don't pray you won't hear God if you don't uh fast if you don't uh um if you don't I pray overnight you won't hear God if you if you uh um I I don't even know the ifus are so many now even though what they are saying is good it is not bad but the reality is there is nothing you can do to end the voice of God the voice of God is purely based on the Sovereign love and mercy that our great God has for us and his personal desire from the beginning of creation that his children should hear from him let me show you and prove you this scripturally Cain and his brother Abel came before God and they both brought their offerings and sacrifices to God the Lord received Abel and rejected Cain but even though he rejected Cain and his offering meaning the manner in which he gave was not received but nevertheless nevertheless God still came to tell him why he was not received you see our God is our father first when my son Andrew messes up it does not make me stop communicating with him if anything he needs to hear from me the more so that he knows what to do in order for him to change the course of his life so you don't hear God because you have done right you don't hear God because you have done wrong you hear God because he's your father and he intends to guide you into his purposes the same cane kills his brother Abel he wasn't fasting and praying he wasn't praying in tongues the same God who warned him about Sin trying to possess him and take hold of him is the same God who came to ask him why did you kill your brother why did you do this notice his sin did not stop God from speaking to him now this is not telling you go and say no we are children of God Our intention is never to sin even though we will stumble and sin no sin is greater a sin is a sin but nevertheless watch this God still came and spoke to him when I am reminded of the Pharaoh in the time of Abraham Abraham went into Egypt and he said that Sarah is his sister you know the story this is in Genesis and Pharaoh went to sleep the Lord came to pharaoh and said Pharaoh you are a dead man I love this one he said Pharaoh you are a dead man for you have taken a prophet's wife and the Pharaoh said Lord I didn't know that you know what the guy told me and nevertheless I didn't even touch her the Lord said I know you did not touch her because I kept you from sinning against me but I want you to notice something that is very weird here number one the Pharaoh is not a Christian how did he hear God how did God warn him why did God give him insight and foresight he was an idol worshiper but nevertheless his lifestyle did not stop God from coming and giving him correction so that he can correct the cause of his life perhaps so that he may give himself to God so a man who did not know Jehovah God walks to Abraham and tells him Abraham you deceived me Abraham said what do you mean I deceived you said this is not your sister it is your wife why have you come to stumble me notice the man is prophesying to a prophet not because he is righteous in fact the very Act of taking a woman you have never met you just wanted to be yours already shows the kind of Lifestyle this guy was living but nevertheless it was in God's will to redirect him let no man deceive you let no woman deceive you hearing God is about Grace when you understand that God is your father when you understand that God loves you it is the key that unlocks for you to start hearing the voice of God we hear God because God is good we need to shift our mind in understanding this simple truth that God just loves us we are his children and he will speak to us we must strive for righteousness but even in our mistakes he will never leave us nor forsake us because God is better than our parents so understand this in finishing that you are a better candidate of hearing God than Cain you are better candidate of the voice of God than the pharaoh of Egypt why you have given your life to the Lord Jesus you are filled with the Holy Spirit you are chasing after God but remember humility is the heart that recognizes that it needs the grace of God because it is by Grace we are saved not because of our works but because of Grace let us be children that are surrendered to the grace of God because Works no silver no gold can earn you the voice of God may the Lord bless you
