Summary
In one line: "If God does not test you, you're not His" — maturity is born from testing; an untested believer is "spiritually broke" (James 1:2-4).
Key points
- Facing bad news, Jehoshaphat proclaimed a fast and gathered the nation to seek God (2 Chronicles 20:3-4). "God will fight your battles" starts with prioritising Him — "make God number one and He makes you number one."
- Righteousness means being clothed in Jesus Christ — if He isn't your covering and high tower, that's why your prayer doesn't "avail much" (James 5:16).

I feel like y'all can't really hear me tonight. Come on.
If God does not test you, then you're not his.
If he does not test you, you don't belong to him.
Because the maturity of a believer is born from what? Testing.
The Bible says all the tests that come our way are to make us 45 fortified lacking nothing. Meaning as far as God is concerned, if you are never tested, you are broke. You know people talk about being spiritually rich. If God has never tested you. If God has never tested you, you are lacking everything. You are empty of any virtue, of any strength. You are actually empty.
So understand this. By the spirit of God, Joseph chose to fast. Joseph called his whole nation. He called the whole nation. He said, "Guys, we got to find the Lord. We are in big trouble." When you hear bad news, where do you go first? What do you do first?
It is very popular in the church to shout, "God will fight all your battles." But actually the process of allowing God to fight your battles is completely different. It begins by prioritizing God.
Even in uncomfortable times.
If you make God number one, he will make you number one.
Amen. If you put him last on the list yet, okay, he will also deal with you at his convenience because the prayers of the righteous availth much. But many don't know what it means to be righteous.
To be righteous means to be clothed in Jesus Christ.
That's what righteousness means. It doesn't mean a Christian is righteous. No, righteousness is to be clothed with Jesus Christ because Jesus Christ is our righteousness. So if I am clothed in Jesus, it means that he is my covering. He's my protection. He's my high tower. He's my defender. He's
Hallelujah.
He's my protection.
Yeah.
Father, I pray for those who are clapping, those who are understanding. May more oil fall upon them.
I receive.
But if he is not those things for you, then you're not a righteous person. That's why your prayer is not availing much.
Yeah. The apostles were righteous even holy unto God because they prioritized him. He who is willing to lose their life for my sake, they will pick it up. Those who want to save their life, they will lose it. You prioritize him, he represents.
You don't prioritize him, he will also let you do your thing.
It's a simple principle.
Verse number four,
we're going somewhere. I promise you.
Amen. and Judah gathered themselves
