The Devil's Food: Are You Guilty?
Watch on YouTube ↗ Read transcript ↓
Summary
In one line: Most people are feeding demons — the devil wants your energy and your life; you starve him with a sound mind and love that keeps doing good.
Key insights
- "Resist the devil and he will flee" (James 4:7) — resist him from feeding off you; give no place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27).
- A sound mind isn't an empty mind (2 Timothy 1:7) — it's filled with hope, faith, love; it sees the good in everything God does. Such a person accumulates energy to move nations.
- Love is a verb — the ability to keep doing good. His coach: "Count your push-ups only once you can't do any more." Depletion is for expansion, not destruction.
- When someone who wronged you is down, will you celebrate or pray and help? Jesus on the cross: "Father, forgive them" (Luke 23:34) — "boom, upgrade." He would be among the first to help his critics; when others called a critic a demon, he stopped them.
- God gives according to your capacity — why he can fill an arena alone (most bill 20 speakers). "Anybody can get popular, but popularity is not greatness."

Most people are feeding demons.
Satan had to leave Jesus alone. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. What are you resisting him from? He's trying to feed off you.
You don't give him place. But the place he actually wants is for him to start taking your life.
Most people are feeding demons.
So, number one, a sound mind is not an empty mind, but it's a mind filled with positivity. Filled with hope.
Filled with faith. Filled with love. That is a sound mind. That mind that sees the good in everything God is doing.
That is an unbreakable person. That is a person that is accumulating energy.
Not just to move mountains, but to move nations.
Number two, love.
Love is a verb.
The ability to continue to do good.
When you're in the gym, the reps that count is not the reps you can do.
My coach always says when you do push-ups, and then you get to the place you cannot do any more push-ups, now start counting.
Those five, the one, two, you can do it. Three, four, THE ONE LAST ONE, FIVE. THAT'S now you've done push-ups because it is when you have nothing and you still do that your capacity is increasing and your strength is also what? Increasing.
It's easy to stop doing good.
Once bitten, twice shy. Old English saying. Somebody does you wrong one time, you won't give them an opportunity to do you wrong again unless you are fool.
Hello.
[snorts and laughter]
Love. Because love makes you confront what the devil wants to use to empower himself.
Somebody does you wrong and they're in need. Are you going to celebrate that they are down? Or are you going to pray for them and ask God to show you how you can help them even if it is indirectly for them to come out of that situation?
I want you to think about it.
Jesus is on the cross. Bring yourself down. You said this, you said that, you said this. Father, forgive them. They don't know what they are doing. Boom, upgrade.
You are not depleted to be destroyed.
The depletion is for expansion and growth.
Those who have criticized me and have attacked me, I'll be honest with you. If they were in any position that was actually difficult, I'll probably be one of the first people that gives them help. Because I have no ill vibes or feelings towards them. I really don't. Remember I was being called a demon and this and then there's somebody said that. I said, "No, no, no, we can't say that." If I cheered that on, I'll be exactly like them. Said, "No.
Pray for them. Don't say that. Nobody is that." But I was called every name under the sun.
Those are opportunities.
There's a reason why there is a reason why I'm doing the Buckley center and they are not.
No, there's a reason. God gives you according to your capacity and what you can handle. There's a reason why I can do that and they can't. Now, other people are doing arenas, too. But they have like 20 people line up.
When I do arenas, guess what? It's only one person. Lovvie Elias. Not that it's bad to have 20 people. If that's your speed, God bless you. I just don't know how I can go to a meeting and hear 20 people preach.
I don't get it. Imagine going to a meeting, Peter preaches, Moses preaches, Daniel preaches. Which how many direction will we be pulled to? This is just me.
Huh? Yeah, yeah, no, it's just for me, it's just personally for me.
I could There has to be an agenda, there has to be a goal that what God wants to fulfill in that and that's it. Unless it's a convention, I don't know. But if it's a meeting for me, I just don't understand it. But here's the thing. God gives you the ability to carry more because you have the energy that matches what God is about to give to you.
Amen.
Anybody can get popular.
But popularity is not greatness.
It's not greatness.
